David Specht, DVM     University of Florida: 1982 BS in Wildlife Ecology 1990 Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine Dr. Dave is a Florida Gator through and through! After he graduated from the University of Florida School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, he moved to Colorado with his wife and spent the next 5 years working in over 80 veterinary clinics in the Denver Metro area as a relief vet. He has worked primarily with small animal companion pets over the past 22 years and has a special interest in exotic animal medicine especially reptiles. Dr. Dave is an educator - he takes every opportunity to teach his clients about the care of their pets. He, along with his wife and 2 daughters, have raised 3 puppies for Canine Companions for Independence and his own pets have varied from reptiles and fish to spiders and dogs.
